About

I was given an Amiga A600 at aged 8 by my awesome Uncle Tim. I’ve not stopped messing with computers in the 35+ years since.

I was lucky to grow up in what has to be the golden age of tech - born pre-internet but immersed in it as a teenager. I was excited as tech bounded on every year - I never had the best (I remember being very jealous of the kid in my village with an A1200) but I did get cool hand me downs like the Psion 3a, which I learnt basic on.

• Aged 8 gifted a Amiga A600 after my fathers death and became obsessed
• Aged 10 gifted Psion 3a
• Aged 12 bought an HTML book while on holiday in wales
• Aged 13 bought my first PC
• Aged 16 installed slackware linux
• Aged 17 inherited £10k and built a dual processor Athlon MP beast
• Aged 18 learnt PHP and did some work for local businesses
• Aged 19 spent a year partying at Brunel Uni before dropping out
• Aged 20 built Status Fluid Power
• Aged 23 started working at SGS and managed the site among many roles
• Aged 24 got properly into adwords as a revenue source
• Aged 26 built a Magento 1 site that did over £100m turnover
• Aged 29 met my wife
• Aged 30 ran a team of 5 managing IT & marketing
• Aged 31 implemented ERP
• Aged 33 networked a 77,000 sqft new build office & warehouse
• Aged 38 assisted in acquisition of SGS by Storskogen
• Aged 39 left SGS to start my own business
• Aged 40 ran a toy business for my wife
• Aged 42 full ricer hyprland arch desktop quad monitor battle station (hey, just what I wanted aged 8)
