About

dev, linux tinkerer, shed enthusiast

I was given my first computer, an Amiga A600, at aged 8 by my awesome Uncle Tim. I’ve not stopped messing with computers in the 35+ years since.

I was lucky to grow up in what has to be the golden age of tech - born pre-internet but immersed in it as a teenager. I was excited to grow up as tech bounded on every year - I never had the best (I remember being very jealous remember the kid in my village with an A1200)

Rough tech timeline

I can build linux server, manage a database, run a multi-million turnover Magento store, make a data analysis pipeline, and unwind on the weekend by ricing Hyprland.

Where I’ve worked

What I enjoy

Setup

Arch Linux · Hyprland · Ghostty · Bash · Fuzzel · Obsidian

Theme switcher, wallpaper selector, Shopify sales in the taskbar, git commits tracker — all rolled from scratch.

Sheds

I’ve always liked sheds. Small space and everything in its place. First one around 2004. On my fourth now.
